    Rimfire rifles are subject to different rules than centerfire rifles. The kit shown in the link I followed may be legal. You’re best course of action is to contact the California DOJ with this question. Below is a link to the CA DOJ, Firearms Division. On the page is a link to contact them, just ask a specific question and they will respond. Save their response, having a written DOJ response will go a long way to keeping you out of trouble.     The beautiful thing about .22 rimfire:

    You can pretty much do whatever you want to it….

    You will be legal with that stock

    Then only things you can’t have:

    High Cap Magazines: over 10 rounds

    and night vision scopes
