its a php file.
Is it a php file? A Perl (.pl) file? Something else?
Did you download a package of files? I believe you’re supposed to install it onto the server you’re using (which their site should have step by step instructions on that).
First step:
You need to get yourself a good host who is capable of running PHP4 or 5 and MySQL 4 or 5. You also need a domain name. Link the two together as usual with all hosts.
2nd step:
Grab the RC2a download of osCommerce at
3rd step:
The install is quite simple – upload all the osCommerce files to your hosting and then follow the onscreen instructions.
