What are some eCommerce alternatives to PayPal?

I want to avoid using third party companies. (Except for credit card companies themselves.)

Clearly, PayPal does this. So how can I?

There are a number of alternatives to PayPal. CNN Money offers a page listing a few of them – see below link. However, be very careful as commissions may steeper than what PayPal charges!
