I just purchased a golf cart that had ac, the fellow told me it was R12.please help?

I am confused can you put r134 into an r12 system, I heard you can get autozone to run a scan on it for free.Those guys I heard are awesome diagnosticians. They told me I can buy a conversion kit or something to convert it for 15 dollars and re-charge it myself with a kit for 20.00. R-12 can be converted to R-134a with new o-rings and conversion oil. Good luck.
you can convert but be sure to drain all r12 out including oil oil is not compatible with 134a
