How do you purchase Ecommerce Software without paying another hosting site a monthly fee?

ecommerce

I am not interested in scams, hosting places that charge fees. I am solely interested in buying my own Ecommerce software that has everything from website store,no HTML required, to shopping carts. Looking for a reputable company with a good BBB background check before purchasing. Or if you know of a store that carries this, thanks.

I take it you’re planning on hosting the site yourself?

You might want to consider Microsoft Commerce Server. It’s reasonably secure for a Microsoft product, and is fairly simple to use if you’re familiar with web server concepts.

If you’re adverse to Microsoft products, you could use something like osCommerce, which is open-source. The software is free, and support is widely available for free if you do it yourself, or you can find companies who will support the product for you for a fee.
