Shopping cart software?

shopping cart systems
Munir asked:

I am looking for a shooping cart software to make e commerce homepage for corporates. The problem is, the companies want to update their products by them selves, without using software. They want me to make an online content management system, through which they will be able to update their products. Any good advice???

  • Agora does that.

I have clients that have me set up the basics, and they go in to alter prices and shipping info. So far, they have not wandered into the system to BREAK anything.

Basically, I show them the Admin section with Print outs. I circle the sections that they can MESS with. I also show them a typical product, and again, circle the fields that they can MESS with.

It’s thier business, and they really do not want to BREAK it.

    Good luck and Happy Computing!

  • If you are looking for a complete Content Management System for free there are lots available. I have installed and used the following two:

DotNetNuke which runs on the .net platform and is Written in vb.net (in case you need to make any amendments the source is provided) and PostNuke which is written in PHP.

Both of these have modules for selling and include a shopping cart.

These are just two that I have personally used but there are lots more available for download.

    Hope this helps
