I’m not sure what the paper is for but for scientific papers the narrator is generally third person (The researcher expected to find… rather than I expected). Also, quotes are unnecessary in most of the above citations (exception would be the live to be one hundred) because you are summarizing the sources rather than quoting verbatim. There are a couple typos (hug impact instead of huge impact, prier instead of prior) so you should do some basic grammatical proofreading.

Before starting the research I expected to find – replace with I hypothesised.

Looking back at my hypothesis it seemed to follow along the lines of the research that I had gathered. I believe that my hypothesis follows along the same lines as the research that I gathered because my hypothesis might have been influenced by prier knowledge Tidy this bit up. A lot of repetition
